¿Por qué no logro bajar de peso?

En qué momento descubrir si estás en las cadenas de la pereza, por no cambiar algo que se SABE, es perjudicial para la salud, teniendo en cuenta que la salud, es la vida misma.
La obesidad, más allá de unos “kilos de más”, trae consigo otros compañeros, tales como depresión, baja autoestima, falta de confianza en sí mismo, y puede alimentar la “envidia” o sentimientos negativos hacia personas que tengan un aspecto diferente, al cual de una forma u otra se “aspira”.
¿Qué es lo que te detiene a bajar de peso?
Es necesario resaltar que cuando alguien inicia su proceso para la pérdida de peso, por obvias razones empieza a lucir diferente y al hacerlo, personas cercanas pueden iniciar a hacer comentarios como: “Que delgada te ves, que bien te ves, pero ya no sigas bajando de peso”. Lo anterior como si el exterior tuviera el número ideal. Si no tenemos una visión clara en conjunto con emociones y pensamientos elevados, puede ser que se caiga “víctima” de estos comentarios y detener el proceso de cambiar. No es el miedo al cambio lo que puede detenernos, no es el medio a lo desconocido, es de hecho el soltar lo conocido y saber convivir con los comentarios ante los que se debe hacer valer la nueva visión de la actualización en tu mejorado yo.
A partir de los años 60, debido a múltiples campañas en la industria de la moda, que incluían modelos que lucían en extrema delgadez, se inició a popularizar el hecho de mantener un prototipo de figura. Sin embargo, tuvo en algunas mujeres desencadenamiento de malos hábitos para lograr cierta delgadez. Pero algunas décadas después, muchas mujeres han levantado la voz diciendo que ese no es el estereotipo que debe seguirse y que también puede haber cuerpos más voluminosos, no solamente en la vida cotidiana, sino en las grandes pasarelas.
Lo anterior, llevó también a una tendencia por “satanizar” la extrema delgadez y aceptar la validez de los nuevos prejuicios como: “No necesito estar delgada para ser feliz”. Pero ¿qué tanto usamos este argumento ahora como pretexto para decir que todas las delgadas abusan del hambre o llevan una vida de excesos para mantener la delgadez? Si bien es cierto que la delgadez no es precisamente la fórmula completa para tener una vida plena, es uno de los componentes importantes. Un cuerpo en buena forma siempre será más saludable, contará con más energía, se sentirá mejor, obtendrá mejores resultados, no tendrá mucho conflicto para elegir prendas, se situará en una burbuja de mejor autoestima, comparado con su yo anterior, entre muchos otros beneficios.

El 70% de los mexicanos padece sobrepeso y casi una tercera parte sufre obesidad, además esta enfermedad está asociada principalmente con la diabetes y enfermedades cardiovasculares, pero también con trastornos óseos y musculares y algunos tipos de cáncer. Los hábitos alimenticios poco saludables y la falta de ejercicio ocasionan el 32% de las muertes de mujeres y el 20% de hombres en el país.
La forma más efectiva para conocer el grado de obesidad y sobrepeso en las personas es de acuerdo con su Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC), que es la relación del peso y la talla, lo que permite identificar el sobrepeso.
¿Cómo calcular mi IMC?
Se divide el peso de la persona en kilogramos, entre el cuadrado de su talla (estatura) en metros.
Ejemplo:
Si el peso de una persona es de 85 kilos y su talla es de 1.65 metros, se calcula así:
(85) ÷ (1.65 al cuadrado)
(85) ÷ (2.7225) = 31.22
El IMC de esta persona es de 31.22
Una vez que se obtiene el cálculo del índice de masa corporal con la siguiente tabla se puede interpretar la condición en la que se encuentra la persona.
Menor a 18.9 = Bajo
18.50 a 24.99 = Normal
25.00 a 29.99 = Sobrepeso
30.00 a 34.99 = Obesidad leve
35.00 a 39.99 = Obesidad media
Mayor a 40.0 = Obesidad mórbida
Ejemplo:
Con el cálculo anterior del IMC = 31.22, identificamos el rango en el que se encuentra siendo este de 25.00 a 29.99 lo que significa que esta persona tiene obesidad leve.
